tasty thursday

one of my families favorite meal is this:
Best-Ever Barbecued Ribs
 from Best-Loved Slow Cooker Recipes
makes 6 servings

1 teaspoon paprika or smoked paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
3 to 3.5 pounds well-trimmed pork baby back ribs, cut into 4-rib pieces
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce

1. coat crock-pot slow cooker with cooking spray.  combine paprika, salt, thyme, black pepper and red pepper; rub mixture onto meaty sides of ribs.  place ribs in crock-pot.  cover; cook on low 7-8 hours or on high 3-3.5 hours or until ribs are tender.
2. combine ketchup, sugar, worcestershire and soy saice; mix well.  remove ribs from crock-pot; discard cooking liquid.  coat ribs with sauce; return to crock-pot and cook on high 30 minutes, or until ribs are glazed.
TIP: spinning the cover until the condensation falls off will allow you to see inside the crock-pot without removing the lid; taking off the cover extends the cooking time.

i love crock-pot meals, they are just so easy and it saves me so much time.  of course i have a picture of the finished meal.  you can even see the steam they are so fresh.  i hope your family enjoys these ribs just as much as we do.
